Steel ingot (ingot) is a rectangular piece that usually has a trapezoidal cross-section for easier transportation and convenience when removing the ingot from the mold. What is billet?

Billet is one of the most popular middle rolled steel products and it is produced with circular and square cross section. The longer length of the billet compared to the billet has made the billet to be used in the production of rebar and wire (products that require a longer length). The width of the billet is less than 15 cm. The billet is produced in 3sp and 5sp groups, and their differences are as follows:

3sp billet has higher flexibility (tensile and bending) than 5sp billet.

5sp billet is stronger than 3sp billet.

What is Bloom?

 Bloom is a type of billet with a longer length and a larger cross-sectional area. Bloom is used to produce iron beams. To produce bloom, they sometimes use cutting the side of the slab.

What is a slab?

Slab is another steel product that is produced from steel ingots. The slab has a rectangular cross-section and a length of 4 to 12 meters, and it is used in the manufacture of steel sheets.
